DIY Amazing Appliqued Cushions

how to do yourself unique cushions with application

Isn't these cushions marvelous? I really like H&M designs but if there is no store near you can do these cushions by yourself!

The easiest way is to use transfer paper. You can find more instructions on DIY label on ribbon.

Another way is to paint the cloth. You will need template printed on vellum paper, scissors, scotch, craft knife, textile paint and of course cushion.

Step 1 Print the pattern you have chosen on vellum paper. You may use glass etching pattern. Here the templates I found.

Step 2 Carefully cut out the print. Put something under the vellum so that you won't harm the table.

Step 3 Apply vellum on the textile and stick ends tightly with scotch or plaster. Iron the textile. Note that this is done with low heated iron!

Step 4 Put the paint. Be careful with the thickness of the paint.

Step 5 Wait 6-8 hours paint to dry and then fix it 3 minutes with iron.

Tissue is resistant to washing up to 40 degrees. The best part is that after drying of paint fabric remains soft and drawings do not crack.
